一、 Principle of photoreceptor

The optical receiver is an important part of the optical fiber communication system. Its basic principle is to convert optical signals into electrical signals. The main components of an optical receiver include a photodetector, a preamplifier and a postamplifier. When the optical signal is transmitted to the photodetector through the optical fiber, the photodetector converts the optical signal into an electrical signal, and then the signal is amplified and filtered through the preamplifier, and finally further processed and transmitted through the postamplifier.

二、 The function of photoreceptor  

1. Conversion of optical signals to electrical signals: The most basic function of an optical receiver is to convert transmitted optical signals into electrical signals to facilitate subsequent signal processing and transmission. This is done using photodetectors, which detect weak light signals and convert them into electrical signals.

2. Signal amplification: Since the intensity of the optical signal will gradually weaken during the optical fiber transmission process, the intensity of the optical signal may be very weak when it reaches the optical receiver. The preamplifier in the optical receiver can amplify these weak electrical signals so that they can be better processed and transmitted.

3. Signal filtering: During the optical fiber transmission process, various noises and interferences may be introduced, which will affect the quality of the signal. The preamplifier in the optical receiver is usually equipped with a filter to remove these noises and interference and improve the quality of the signal.

4. Signal processing: The post-amplifier can further process the electrical signal, such as decoding, demodulation, etc., so that it can be restored to the original digital or analog signal. In addition, through the post-amplifier, the electrical signal can also be adjusted and optimized, such as adjusting the amplitude, frequency and other parameters of the signal, so that it can meet the requirements of subsequent communication systems.

5. Output electrical signals: The processed electrical signals can be output to other devices or systems to achieve information transmission and sharing. For example, in an optical fiber communication system, the electrical signals processed by the optical receiver can be transmitted to computers, switches or other communication equipment.

l AGC control range is -2~ -14dBm, and the output is basically unchanged. (AGC range can be customized according to user).

l Low power consumption design, using high-efficiency switching power supply to ensure high reliability and high stability of the power supply. The power consumption of the whole machine is less than 3W, with light detection circuit.

l Built-in WDM, realize single fiber entrance (1100-1620nm) application.

l SC/APC and SC/UPC or FC/APC optical connector, metric or inch RF interface optional.

2.FTTH Optical Receiver(CT-2002C)Overview

This product is an FTTH optical receiver, using low-power optical receiving and optical control AGC technology, which can meet the needs of fiber-to-the-home, and can be used in conjunction with ONU or EOC to achieve triple play. There is WDM, 1550nm CATV signal photoelectric conversion and RF output, 1490/1310 nm PON signal directly passes through, which can meet FTTH one optical fiber transmission CATV+EPON.

The product is compact in structure and easy to install, and is an ideal product for building a cable TV FTTH network.
